In the Netherlands and Groningen especially the use of bicycles are widely practised because of the flat lands suitable for cycling. Prospective students are adequately informed about bicycles as the cheapest means of transportation. This mode of transportation plays a role in managing mobility. Although, cycling might be new to students from different parts of the world. The feeling of freedom and good health a big gives is general all over the world. Moreover, when it comes to safety it has been proven that for certain age groups cars represent a much more overall risk than cycling.
