As a really good 1st address when planning to come to Groningen we suggest using the services of the housing office, which offer accommodations in international student houses for up to 1 year. After that time, you will have to find a place yourself. These international student houses host a huge number of international students, so it is a good place to meet people like you! Kamernet.nl

One of the biggest websites in the Netherlands dedicated to finding rooms and apartments is kamernet.nl. With more than 4,000 rooms in the entire country, from 6qm to huge places and from 200€ rent per months to much more, this site might as well have what you need and what you want. Unfortunately you have to sign up to fully see the offers and if you want to respond to a room (that is, requesting a date for visiting the room beforehand) you will have to pay. Kamertje.nl

Another well known website for finding rooms in the Netherlands is kamertje.nl. Unfortunately only available in Dutch, this site offers a wide range of rooms and is updated several times a day. You can find rooms from very small to really big, in a student house or in a privately rented house. Especially during the summer, when many students graduate, you have a huge number of houses on the market, looking for students to move in! Check it out: www.kamertje.nl

In case you want to find a bigger room or a house, we suggest you contact a real estate agent in Groningen. They often have accommodations, which are suitable for more than 1 person (in case you come to Groningen as a couple or family).

Direct Wonen is a real estate agent with a branch in Groningen. They have a wide range of houses and apartments at higher prices than the housing offices above, but therefore a higher standard as well. You will most likely find houses with own kitchens and bathrooms (unlike in student houses). For international citizens, the signing up is for free!
